At WOO Sports, we’re down to earth people. We are passionate action sports athletes that share a common vision. We are a bunch of hardcore engineers and professionals – some might call us nerds – with lots of “left brain” degrees and skills, but at the core of it, we are a “right brain” company. We live and breathe authenticity, honesty, emotion, creativity, joy and great product. We hope that the fun, passion, adrenaline and flow we experience when we go kiteboarding transpires through our products.


Community Manager

What?
WOO Sports is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and motivated Community Manager!  Our community is the most important part of what we do, and we want to go the extra mile to make sure we are as close as possible to our community of riders, and help them as much as possible in getting the most out of their WOO experience. The position is location independent.  

Our culture
Let’s start with this – we’re all kiteboarding addicts.  Second, our main objective at WOO is to serve our customers and our community.  Beyond that, what unifies us is that we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and like to laugh a lot.  However, this is only possible because we are a group of very self motivated people.  We pride ourselves in taking on responsibility and holding ourselves accountable for delivering excellent results on time, knowing that this is the foundation for a successful and fun journey.  We leave our Ego at the doorstep, help each other out, point fingers at ourselves before others, and work as a team.  Working at WOO Sports gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility to shape your day and life around your hobbies (kiteboarding…), as long as work gets done well and on time.  

You
Besides being a fun, outgoing and down to earth personality, you need to have a strong sense of self motivation, self discipline and a very hands-on attitude.  You should be able to work under little to no supervision, and bring a very entrepreneurial mind set to your job.  Ownership is a key word you need to resonate with.  You should be willing and comfortable to jump in front of a camera, organize and manage events where needed, and continuously find new ways to engage with, and serve our community.  Kiteboarding wise, staying upwind is a mandatory skill, and anything beyond that will be considered a plus in your application 🙂

  • WOO score over 10m is a big plus 🙂
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Tasks

  • Engage (with) our community as much [often, good, deep, fun] as possible, on all thinkable channels
  • Organize and run events in the WOO community, both globally via our software platform, and locally on the beach
  • Find ways to improve WOO (and how we serve our community), and communicate them with the team
